Valen Power Engineering delivers high-voltage substation projects from first design to long-term operation. We design, install, test, commission and maintain switchgear, transformers, and control and protection systems for battery storage, solar, wind and network operator clients, including contestable works up to 132kV as a NERS accredited ICP.
That DNO background means we understand what network operators expect at every stage, from design approval and safety rules through to witnessed energisation.

Protection & Control Panel Production
We design, build, wire and factory test protection, control and automation panels in our own 180 m² workshop, to BS EN 61439, ENA and client standards. That includes marshalling and interface cabinets, PLC and automation panels, LV distribution panels and relay upgrade retrofits, with client-witnessed FAT as standard and a typical lead time of 10–20 weeks.

Who we are
Valen Power Engineering Limited is the controller of personal data collected through this website. You can contact us about your data at info@vpel.co.uk or by post at [REGISTERED ADDRESS].
What we collect
When you send an enquiry or email us, we collect your name, company, email address, phone number and anything you include in your message. This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
We use your details only to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to prepare a proposal or quotation. We will not send you marketing unless you have asked us to.
Our lawful basis
Under UK GDPR we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)) and, where you ask us to quote for work, taking steps at your request before entering a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
Who we share it with
We never sell your data. It is only handled by providers who run our email and IT systems on our instructions, or disclosed where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted after [24 months]. If you become a customer, we keep records for as long as needed to meet our contractual and legal obligations.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or erase your data, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to transfer elsewhere. Email info@vpel.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
